Getting started

Sign in to the Portal

Help a client open your agency's Portal.

Each agency has its own Portal address. Send your client the link for your agency.

Help someone sign in

  1. In Studio, open the client and check Settings → People. If the person has not accepted an invitation to your agency’s Portal, invite them or copy their pending invitation link.
  2. Ask them to open the invitation link. New users enter a name and password, accept the terms, and verify their email. People with a Watson account sign in using the invited email address.
  3. For later visits, send your agency’s Portal address. They use the same Watson account there.

An invitation with Member grants and an explicit project scope gives access only to the selected agency relationship. Acceptance does not create client company Membership or ownership. The same Watson account can hold separate access to other client relationships or agency Portals.

Clients must accept that invitation even if they already belong to, or own, their client company Workspace. Company membership does not bypass a pending explicit Portal invitation.

Watson may ask for a six-digit code after the password. If the client cannot get in, see A client can’t sign in.

Legacy company admission

These rules apply to the existing company-membership invitation flow. They do not assign ownership through the new relationship access controls.

When another agency invites a person at their company’s principal email domain, they verify their mailbox and confirm I’m part of Acme before joining. If their Owner turned off Join by company email, or they use a public email domain, an active non-Read-Only colleague approves their request. Agencies never control this switch.

The first person to accept an invitation to a newly created client company becomes its Owner, whatever their domain. A non-Read-Only Member may invite colleagues: principal-domain colleagues join directly, while other domains wait for colleague approval. An agency cannot block a live client Owner.
